To reset the phone without erasing personal data




  • From your Home screen, tap image

  • Find and tap Settings Backup & reset.

  • Tap Settings reset Reset phone.

  • To confirm, tap Reset settings.


To perform a factory data reset (delete all data and restore factory settings)




  • From your Home screen, tap image

  • Find and tap Settings Backup & reset.

  • Tap Factory data reset Reset phone.

  • To confirm, tap Erase everything.


OR




  • While the phone is off, press and hold down Volume Up + Home + Power buttons at the same time.

  • Then release the buttons when you see the Logo. Use the Volume Downbutton to go down and the Home or Power key to select.

  • Choose the Wipe data/Factory reset option. Then Select Yes to delete all user data. Then choose to reboot the phone.
